System of the week

Reels trend to lead playbook

This week, make three Reels that ride a current trend and send people to your email list or offer.

First, choose your trends. Open the Reels Audio tab or a fresh weekly roundup and pick three sounds that match your topic. Pick only one offer to push, like a free checklist or a mini consult. Set your bio link to a fast opt in page with one clear promise and a short form.

Now script each Reel for 8 to 10 seconds. Start with the result in the first two seconds. Show a quick how for five seconds. End with a clear call to action. Example script: I turned one idea into 500 subs. Here is the trick. Show the step on screen. Want my one page checklist? Comment guide. Add on screen text for each beat and turn on captions. Keep your voice clear and music low.

Post Tuesday to Thursday at the same hour. In the caption, lead with the outcome, share one tip, and invite people to comment. Pin a comment that says Comment guide and I will DM it to you.

Reply to every comment. Send this DM within minutes: Thanks for jumping in. Here is the one page checklist you asked for [short link]. Want the editable template too?

Track plays, average watch time, profile visits, link clicks, and saves. Aim for a 2 percent visit rate, 20 percent opt in rate, and 5 percent saves. The top Reel gets a quick remix, a carousel breakdown, and a Story repost.

Platform Tactics Desk

Facebook is boosting Reels personalization and adding “friend bubbles” that nudge private chats from a video. Action: prioritize Reels with a reply/DM CTA and test conversational prompts in captions.

IG is testing opening straight into a Reels-first home in India. If this expands, short video becomes the front door. Action: package posts as Reels by default; lead with outcome in 2 seconds; add a DM or Add-Yours prompt.

YouTube is trialing a mobile UI redesign that moves/downsizes key action buttons. Action: place “subscribe/next step” verbally in-video at 0–5s, and watch CTR for likes/subs this week.

Indonesia suspended TikTok’s registration over data-sharing issues. Action: if you rely on Indonesia traffic or collabs, mirror uploads to Reels/Shorts and route offers via link-in-bio/email until status changes.

Monetization Lab

TikTok Shop affiliate: a simple system for weekly income

TikTok Shop lets you earn a commission when viewers buy the products you show. The quickest path is to teach one clear outcome, then link a product that helps people get that outcome.

Start by picking three products you already like. Check reviews, shipping speed, return policy, and a commission you are happy with. Record your own test if you can. If not, film a short demo that shows the benefit in the first two seconds.

Run a two video plus one live plan this week. Video 1 solves a problem with the product. Video 2 is a before and after or a quick reaction. The live session repeats the key steps and answers common questions. Use a pinned comment with the Shop link and mention it out loud near the start and the end.

Use this simple script:
• Hook: show the result fast.
• Teach: one step viewers can copy.
• Close: want the exact tool I use, tap the Shop link.

Track plays, click rate, and units sold. Repeat the winner with a remix. Always add a clear affiliate disclosure and keep your advice honest.

Mini Case Study

Dara Denney’s 60-day, six-figure course launch

What happened
Performance creative expert Dara Denney quit her agency job, gave herself 60 days to ship a course, and turned a highly engaged audience into sales. In month one she enrolled 570 students at a $897 price point, doing roughly $200k, with $40k on day one.

How she executed
• Clear scope: one flagship offer (Performance Creative Accelerator) with a defined outcome for buyers.
• Student-led curriculum: she logged common questions from comments and consults, then built lessons directly from that list.
• Focused production: dedicated filming and editing blocks to avoid context switching.
• Simple distribution: link in every YouTube video, a few targeted Instagram posts, and four emails to her list. No massive ad spend or huge launch stack.

Why it worked
Trust first, funnel second. Years of free, specific tutorials built demand. When the offer arrived, the audience already believed she could help. The price signaled depth, the promise was concrete, and the path to buy was short.

How to get such results

  1. Mine your comments and DMs for 20 repeated questions. Those become modules.

  2. Time-box production into separate plan → film → edit weeks.

  3. Keep distribution tight: one social channel you own, one partner post, four emails.

  4. Put a single, high-clarity CTA on every asset for 14 days.

  5. Measure replies, clicks, and day-1 to day-7 revenue to decide if you open rolling enrollment or run cohorts.

Tool of the Week

Canva inside ChatGPT (F-R-E-E)

You can now create, preview, and edit Canva designs directly in ChatGPT. Type a prompt, get an editable Canva design in-chat, and even rewrite all slide text or translate a whole deck without breaking layouts. It works on ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro.

3 creator use-cases
• Turn a thread outline into an IG carousel or LinkedIn doc post in one chat.
• Rewrite headlines across a 20-slide deck to match your hook and tone.
• Translate a promo deck for a new market, then export with brand fonts intact.

Here’s how it works, step by step:

  1. In ChatGPT, open the Canva app from the apps menu.

  2. Prompt clearly: Create an Instagram post about [topic], bold and minimal, 1080x1350, include headline, subhead, CTA.

  3. Chat shows preview designs. Edit right here by typing commands like shorten headline, swap background to white, change CTA to Get the guide.

  4. When it looks right, click Open in Canva to load the file.

  5. In Canva, apply brand fonts and colors, then export multiple sizes: 1080x1080, 1080x1350, 1920x1080. Save as a reusable template.

Next 7 days plan

Day 1: Pick 3 fresh Reels audios, choose one offer, and update your bio link to a fast 2-field opt-in page.
Day 2: Script and record three 8–10s Reels that show the result first, one step next, then a clear CTA.
Day 3: Publish the first Reel at a fixed hour, pin “Comment GUIDE for the 1 page checklist,” and DM every commenter the short link.
Day 4: Post the second Reel, then check plays, watch time, and profile visits after 6–12 hours and tighten the first 2 seconds if needed.
Day 5: Join TikTok Shop, pick 3 well-reviewed products with solid commission, and post a 2-second outcome demo with a pinned Shop link.
Day 6: Go LIVE on TikTok for 20 minutes to teach the key step, answer questions, and mention the Shop link near the start and the end.
Day 7: Use Canva inside ChatGPT to turn your best Reel into a 7-slide IG carousel, then export sizes and schedule across IG, FB, and X.

Don’t give up just after a few times, it takes a while for people to connect with any creator. Your goal should not be selling a product/service rather building a loyal audience.
